I grew up watching films like Toy Story and Ants Life, as well as playing games such as Metal Gear Solid and Tomb Raider. This is where my love for 3D began, I was always fascinated that elements of real life could to replicated through 3D and onto a TV screen. When I grew older and was in a position to begin learning anything that universities were offering. I chose to Study Games Design, as video games were more than just a pass time me, they weren’t just offering me “fun” or “enjoyment,” they were offering me a utopia, and the development of games themselves was like an uncharted world that I had to discover, and I knew learning 3D was a huge part of that. My fascination for 3D has never diminished, which is why I continue to learn new skills and techniques to improve myself, so that I may reach my goal of achieving a career as a 3D Artist.

I am currently a Level Designer at International Hobo Inc, where it is my job to plan and create fun levels for the player to navigate through. I work alongside teams made up of other designers and artists, and discuss what additional components could be added to enhance the player’s experience.

I recently taught 3D Environmental Art, Advanced 3D and Level Design to 1st and 2nd year BA students at the Liverpool Media Academy. I have completed a Masters Degree in Games Development at the University of Bolton where I am also a graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Games Design, during this time I was also the Student Representative of the course for 3 years.

After graduating I worked at TT Fusion as a QA tester on LEGO Jurassic Park, Dimensions and Marvel: Avengers. It was my job to understand all elements of the game including narrative, design, visuals and mechanics then test them extensively, in an attempt to discover any issues and then report them so they may be fixed before the game's release. This position required meticulous attention to detail, coordination, patience, teamwork, repetition, and my sanity.
